Archbishop Daniel Deng Bul Yak became the first Diocesan Bishop of Renk in 1995. His Grace faced daunting challenges – land desecrated by civil war, communities rife with racial and tribal tension, and people living in extreme poverty. The Church needed to live out a gospel of peace and hope.
